Absolutely right Garima, but these days most of the women demand independence, freedom of choice at the cost of their responsibilities of being a mother/daughter/wife. So I believe the lady who can be harbinger of happiness and fulfills her roles as the ones mentioned will surely get all the independence she craves for.
(Absolutely, I am not ignoring the fact that men too have responsibilities towards the women, but not touching that topic here). Thanks, that you enjoyed reading it.

Its a really nice piece Karan and I enjoyed reading it. Though I do have one point to make. Why have you restricted the role of a woman only to 'giver of affection', 'bringer of new life', 'maker of a family'? You and I both know this is, but one aspect of womanhood, and in no way a primary one. If you really want to celebrate the presence of a woman, celebrate her independence and her choices, as an individual, please, and not as a mother/daughter/wife.
:)
